"Obedience in faith and action"
S-Scripture: "These things which you have learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do and the God of peace will be with you."
O-Observation: Paul is reminding the Philippians that they need to act on the knowledge they have gained. If they are obedient, GOD AND HIS PEACE will be with them.
A-Application: "Faith without works is dead." -James 2:20 We can learn and "know" all we want. However, we must DO what Christ did. We are held accountable for everything we learn. Our blessings are directly related to our obedience and willingness to ACT on the knowledge we have of Christ. He is our teacher and when we imitate Him, God His Father is with us!
P-Prayer: Dear God, in Jesus' name I thank you for what you have taught me in your word. Please help me to act upon what I have learned, what I know I am to imitate, and what I will continue to discover about your son, Jesus. Help me in the areas where I am weak. Bless me with understanding and conviction as I continue to walk and grow in relationship with you! Thank you for Jesus, the ULTIMATE example!! In His precious name I pray, Amen.
